About Us

LRC analyses and assesses law clerk/paralegal services, makes recommendations and implements customized technology, systems and processes to increase productivity, profitability and service standards.  LRC delivers professional development workshops on topics such as Branding, Practice Management, Practice Development Succeeding as a Legal Professional, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Strategies to Improve Productivity, and Legal Writing and Reporting.

LRC has developed a Law Clerk/Paralegal Professional Development Plan and Curriculum incorporating 9 competency areas in 3 advancing levels.  To complement the Professional Development Plan, LRC has developed a comprehensive Performance Review Plan which utilizes the competencies of the Professional Development Plan to measure the skills and growth of the law clerks/paralegals from year to year or to assess a candidate for engagement.

 

Catherine D'Aversa
President

Catherine D’Aversa is President and owner of Legal Resource Consulting (“LRC”).  LRC’s clients, law firms, government legal departments and corporate in-house legal departments engage LRC to improve law clerk/paralegal professional development, productivity and profitability.  Catherine has developed extensive skills over more than 32 years in the legal industry.   That means Catherine has a clear understanding of the changes and trends in the legal industry and the legal service needs of law firm clients, government agencies and in-house legal departments.

Using this expertise, Catherine analyses and assesses law clerk/paralegal services and provides recommendations on resources, structure, technology, systems, processes and management.  Catherine implements these recommendations as Project Manager to better meet lawyer and client needs, and systems to increase and monitor productivity and profitability.

As a result of her work with law clerks/paralegals and clients, LRC developed comprehensive professional development workshops on topics such as Branding, Practice Management, Practice Development, Strategies for Productivity & Profitability, Working as a Legal Professional and Legal Writing and Reporting.  This means your legal professionals will benefit from the extensive expertise gained over 32 years.

Catherine is a contributing author of several legal books writes articles for various legal management magazines and is a regular speaker and commentator at law firm, legal association and business seminars, workshops and conferences in Canada and the USA.
